Privacy policy
Akira Build Tracker lets families who build a house with Akira Construction follow the work on their own house: a 3D model of the progress, stages, daily notes, site photos and drawings. This page explains what the app stores, why, who can see it, and how you can change or delete it.
What the app stores, and why
| Data | Whose | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Your details: name, mobile number, and if you give them, email, gender and date of birth | Everyone who uses the app, when it first opens | To know who uses the app, to reply to your building enquiry, and to show clients' names on their house. You give these with your agreement (the tick box). |
| A random device number | Everyone | Made by the app on your phone, so the details you sent from this phone can be changed or deleted from this phone. It is not your phone's IMEI or any hardware number. |
| Password | Clients and staff | To sign in. It is stored only in scrambled (hashed) form by our database provider; nobody at Akira can read it. |
| Authenticator-app link | Akira staff only | Staff sign in with a password and a 6-digit code from an authenticator app. |
| House records: layout, daily progress, notes, labour count, site photos, drawings, schedule | Created by Akira Construction about your house | To show you how the work is going. |
| Contract value and payments | Clients' houses | Kept for Akira's accounts. Only Akira's admin (and engineers, if the admin allows) can see them. They are not shown in the app to clients or to anyone with a shared link. |
| Security log: sign-ins (time, and device type such as "Android Chrome"), and important changes (who changed what, and when) | Everyone who signs in; staff actions | To protect accounts, find misuse and meet India's cyber-security rules. The log cannot be edited. |
| Technical logs (IP address, time) | Everyone | Kept by our providers for security and to stop misuse. |
The app has no advertising, no tracking and no analytics. We do not sell your data or share it for marketing. The app does not use your location, contacts, camera roll or microphone. Site photos are added only by Akira staff.
Who can see it
- Each client sees only their own house, and only their own details.
- Akira engineers see the houses they work on. They do not see the details form of other people.
- Akira's admin (the owner) sees everyone's details, so that we can contact you and manage logins.
These rules are enforced by the database itself, not only by the app screens.
Adults only
The app is for adults who are building a house. The details form does not accept anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data about children.
Where it is kept
We use service providers who store or carry data for us and may not use it for anything else:
- Supabase: database, sign-in and file storage (servers in Mumbai, India).
- Cloudflare: delivers the app's pages.
- Have I Been Pwned (Pwned Passwords): when staff choose a password, the app checks that it is not on a public list of leaked passwords. Only the first 5 characters of a scrambled (SHA-1) form of the password are sent, never the password itself.
- Google Fonts: the app's lettering is loaded from Google.
- WhatsApp: only if you tap a WhatsApp button, which opens WhatsApp with a message you choose to send.
All connections are encrypted (HTTPS).
How we protect it
- Database access rules for every table, checked on the server.
- The admin needs a password of 12 or more characters and a code from an authenticator app, and is signed out after 15 minutes without use.
- A security log that nobody can edit.
- If a security breach affects your data, we will tell you and report it to CERT-In, as Indian law requires.
How long we keep it
- Your details (if you are not a client): until you delete them, or at most 2 years after your last contact with us.
- Client logins and details: until you delete your login or ask us to.
- House records: as long as we need them for the building contract, the warranty and our legal duties, then deleted.
- Security log: about one year, then deleted.
Your choices and rights
- See, correct or delete your details: on the sign-in screen tap Your details; or, when signed in, tap My details at the top.
- Withdraw your agreement: tap Delete my details. We stop using them from then on.
- Delete your login: sign in, open Overview, scroll to Your login, tap Delete my login twice. See how to delete your login and data.
- Ask us anything about your data, or complain, using the contact below.
Grievance Officer
